       Among the many devotional occasions of Swaminarayan Sect, one of the great occasion to offer devotion to God is Chaturmas. According to the tradition of Swaminarayan Sect and the commands of Lord Swaminarayan one must undertake special observances during the Chaturmas to please Supreme Lord Swaminarayan. Hence to please Supreme Lord Swaminarayan, the following observances should be undertaken. (This year Chaturmas is from 3 July 2009 (Ashadh Sud 11) to 29 October 2009 (Kartik Sud 11)).
 

Special observances
 
  1. Attending the Pratah Sabha (the morning assembly)
  2. Attending the Weekly Sabha
  3. Doing at least three times Gharsabha in a week
  4.  Observing Brahmacharya (Celibacy) during Chaturmas/Shravan Mas 
  5. Read at least one Vachanamrut and one Bapashri Ni Vato
  6. Sing Sankalp Prarthana before Shriji Maharaj daily
  7. Doing fast/ektana during Chaturmas (as per one’s convenience)
 
 
 

       સ્વામિનારાયણ સંપ્રદાયના અનેક ભક્તિ પર્વોમાંનો એક અદ્ભૂત ભક્તિ પર્વ એટલે પવિત્ર ચાતુર્માસ. સ્વામિનારાયણ સંપ્રદાયની પ્રણાલિકા મુજબ તથા ભગવાન સ્વામિનારાયણે કરેલ આજ્ઞા અનુસાર પવિત્ર ચાતુર્માસ ઉપક્રમે ભગવાનમય જીવન જીવાય તે માટે ભક્તિ સાધનાના વિશેષ સાધન કરવા જોઇએ. ત્યારે આવો આપણે પણ આ પવિત્ર ચાતુર્માસના મંગલ પ્રારંભે નિયમની એકાદશીના શુભ દિને વિશેષ નિયમો લઇ પ્રભુ પ્રસન્નતા પ્રાપ્ત કરીએ.        પવિત્ર ચાતુર્માસ ઉપક્રમે ભગવાન સ્વામિનારાયણને રાજી કરવા માટે ગુરુવર્ય પ.પૂ.બાપજીએ આપેલા વિશેષ નિયમો લઇ ભક્તિ માર્ગના ઉત્તમ રાહ તરફ ચાલીએ.
 
 
ચાતુર્માસના વિશેષ નિયમો
 
(1)      નિત્ય પ્રાત:સભામાં હાજરી
(2)      અઠવાડીક સભામાં હાજરી
(3)      અઠવાડીયે ઓછામાં ઓછી ત્રણ ઘર્સભા નિયમિત કરવી.
(4)      ચાતુર્માસ / શ્રાવણમાસ દરમ્યાન બ્રહ્મચર્યનું પાલન.
(5)      દૈનિક 1 વચનામૃત અને 1 બાપાશ્રીની વાતોનું નિયમિત વાંચન
(6)      નિત્ય મહારાજ આગળ સંકલ્પ પ્રાર્થનાનું ગાન કરવું
(7)      ચાતુર્માસ / શ્રાવણમાસ દરમ્યાન એકટાણાં અને નકોરડા ઉપવાસ
